Typical rent to own programs:
tenant puts down 3-5K for an option to buy home 12-36 months in future. Alternatively, tenant pays extra 200 per month in rent
Tenant gets credit toward purchase price for some of the rent paid. Effective rent to tenant is lower
Owner holds the sum of the money in escrow and either keeps the money or sells the house at end of option period Win-win.
